Not a lot happened this week, but we did have our first district meeting of the transfer. The zone leaders were there. Elder Moulton and Elder Vianna Da Silva gave a training on companionship unity:
So there you have it. This is how we stay so united with our companions. Just kidding. There was a training on how to have a fantastic step in and some other things.
On Sunday we had a missionary themed sacrament meeting. Elder Cornélio and I gave talks on how the members can help with missionary work. There was another speaker who gave a talk on the same thing. I feel like it is going to help the missionary work in the ward.
That's about it. The only other funny thing I can think of that happened this week was when elder Cornélio and I went to go teach a Portuguese family that doesn't speak any English a lesson. Their 2 year old daughter got up on to the couch and made me blow my nose on a tissue that she was holding right in the middle of the lesson. She also cleaned my eyes with the same tissue. It was really funny, and kinda gross.
For my spiritual thought, I'm going to share a scripture:
And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the [insert people here], thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls. (Alma 17:11)
Preach the gospel! That's all.
Love,
Elder Warburton
P.S. Hey mom, could you send me a recipe for biscuits, I mean real biscuits, not these weird cracker things that they have here. Thanks!
Happy Birthday, Dad!! Here's a picture of the sunset to help you celebrate:
