- Jared doesn't like to hug.
- Carson did not want his picture taken or to be hugged.
- We might just be the most awkward family on the planet.

This was the start of Carson refusing to get his picture taken.

One of the only ones with a real smile from Jared!

Last minute advice from Dad...you can tell by Jared's glazed over look.

More advice...still glazed...a thumbs up from Chris.

The moment I realized that he forgot to shave.

Notice he is not hugging her.

Oh....she got a little pat on the back!

Chris sort of got a hug.

No hug for Dad.

The secret to getting a hug from Jared is to not let go.

Carson DOES NOT want a hug!!

Still no hugging!

A fake out...pretends he's giving a hug and then smacks him on the rear.

They're friends again.

One arm hug for Mom.

I just held on until I got a real hug.

And....he's off.
As we were leaving the airport, they announced on the intercom that someone had forgotten their lunch at security.  I heard it and thought "Oh good...he doesn't have a lunch to lose."  Then halfway home, the thought hit me that he had a 3 month supply of insulin in that green lunchbox that he was carrying and so for the next several hours, I worried that he had forgotten it.  Luckily, I worried for nothing.  He AND his insulin made it all the way to England.
Phew!!
