March 27 Email

Well, I'm feeling lazy again, so here's my journal entries for the week. :)

Tuesday - Today was fun. We only did four things. We had district meeting in the morning, then we did service for Glenice, a less active lady in the ward (we helped her out with her garden, planting seeds and clearing grass and weeds and such), then we had dinner with the Kassinens (I love that family), then we helped out the young men make para-cord bracelets. While doing service it stayed hailing. So while it hailed, she made us lunch. For our dinner, we had toads in the hole with mash and vegetables. It's like Yorkshire pudding with sausages in it. At young mens, I made a black bracelet and an orange one. Over all, today was great. :)

Wednesday - Well, first thing in the morning, the hot water was out, so we just packed up our stuff and went to our exchange early so we could have warm showers. I was with elder Chang today. I love elder Chang. He's hilarious. We had lunch at burger king. After that, we did some finding. While we were finding, this homeless man said that if we gave him 50, he would become a seventh day Adventist. I responded with "close." Then he said, on, I guess I've gotten it wrong. Then we told him that we were Mormon. So he told us to come over so we could have a conversation, so I went over and sat down next to him. We talked for nearly 45 minutes. He was very drunk, but he was nice. Later, We had a lesson with this Romanian guy today named Alex. He was really cool. Hopefully he will progress well. Then we basically did finding for the rest of the day. It was fun. Before dinner, we stopped by Lidl to buy some baked goods. Then I made mash and this mince vegetable concoction. It was nice. Then we came home so we could sleep in our own beds. Also, Found these while out finding.

Thursday - Well, today was super fun. We met Anna, Sister McMullen's friend. She's awesome. We talked about our lives as missionaries, her life, and how awesome she is. She's basically the best. She wants to have us over for dinner or lunch, and also to walk in the woods and just talk. She's just really down to earth. I hope we get to teach her. Then Sister McMullen gave us twenty pounds for lunch, so we got pizza Hut buffet . It was delicious. After lunch, we had Companionship study. Then we met with brother Lovelock. He's doing well. We shared the Elder Holland rock climbing video. Then we talked and he gave us a heater. Also, the Kassinens gave us a heater. We picked it up after lunch from the Jacksons. After brother Lovelock, we went finding at Furzton Lake. We talked to everyone, but no luck. So we went to Bletchley town. The second person we stopped became a new investigator. His name is Jawad. He's great. We're seeing him on Tuesday at 1:00. Then we had dinner with the Terrys. We had some dodgy lasagna. They have a fun parrot named Paco. I love them. We talked about a bunch of these American TV shows. After dinner we went to the chapel for some online proselyting. It was fun.

Friday - Today was good. But, to start, Elder Bourne was sick. So we hung out in the flat while elder Bourne slept. I hemmed up my trousers while he did that. Then after a few hours, we went to Northampton for our zone leader exchange. I was with elder Lindsey. We did finding for awhile, which was super fun! We talked to all of the university students! We met some fun people. No new investigators, but lots of good conversations. Then we went to the chapel and finished the baptismal program for one of the zone leaders' investigators. Then we went to elder dunning's flat and had dinner. I made the fried rice. It was fun to hang out with him again. Then we had a lesson with the investigator that's getting baptized tomorrow. Her name is Millie. She's pretty cool. Then we went home for bed and call Ins.

Saturday - Well, today was awesome, despite what I thought at first. So, we got home from our awesome exchange with the zone leaders. We did some planning, and it seemed that we were going to spend the whole day finding. So we started off finding for an hour at the lake. It was a beautiful day today, by the way. We had a couple good conversations. Then we went to pick up the other elders and take them to the chapel. They reminded us that there was a primary activity at the Chapel today that we were supposed to help out with. So we got a quick lunch (doner kebab) and helped out with the activity. It was a super fun art activity. We spent the entire time making silly art pieces. I really enjoyed it. Then we went to a lake near the chapel and did some finding there. No success, but lots of good conversations. Then we had a lesson with mercy. She's doing well. We taught her the importance of keeping the Sabbath day holy. Then we all went to Bletchley town and did finding with the other elders. I was super pumped. We tried to take selfies with people. We stopped the first person to walk in our path. He was dope! We took a picture with him right at the start. He was super interested and he gave us his address and phone number. But, he lives in Ireland. D: extreme sadness. HE WAS SO COOL!!! Well, I hope the Ireland missionaries take care of him. His name is Zubare. He's a boss. Then we talked with everyone in the town and met lots of really cool people. No new investigators. Then we went to the chapel so the other elders could do their progress record while we did some companion study. Then we went to the store and bought some ingredients and had dinner at the other elders' flat. Elder Nakaima made us some Japanese pancakes. They were really good.

Zubare

Some other nice lady.

The other Elders finding.
Sunday - Well, today was awesome. We went to the chapel early for ward council, but there was no ward council, because it's mothers day here in England, so we went back to the other elders flat to take showers. Then we did all of our morning stuff. Then we went finding in Bletchley town. We met a lady named Vuyelwa. She's from south Africa. We're going to meet her on Saturday. Then we went to the flat to have lunch. I made this stir-fry stuff and then we went to church. Church was nice. I was falling asleep during the last talk, though. Then all of the primary kids got up and sang to the mothers while the young men have the moms flowers and chocolate. Then we had our other classes. They were good. Then we went around and hunted for dinner appointments. We got one with the bishop on Saturday. We'll be watching conference with them. Then we got an appointment with the De Kock family for tonight. It was the best dinner appointment is had in a while. We ate chicken casserole with rice and bread. Then after dinner we played a game called thirty seconds. It's kind of like heads up, but one person describes the words and everyone else guesses. Then for every word guessed right, your team moves up a space. Then who every gets there first wins. It was hilarious. I think that the De Kocks are up there for favourite family in the ward. One of them. Also, we found out that elder Lindsay is going to be joining us in a trio. Elder Chang, his companion, will be going to the land of endless p days (home). I'm going to miss him.

Today - today we went to Bletchley Park, the place where the German enigma code was cracked by the allies during world war two. There are lots of cool thing to see there.

And here's a Maserati.
Well, that's all. I love you!

Love,
Elder Warburton
