March 6 Email

Dear wonderful people!

Well, I'm feeling a bit lazy today as well, so I'll give you my week according to my journal. Enjoy!

Tuesday - Today is pancake day! Yay! We did service in the morning. We helped the De Kock family move across the street. Then we got back and had some lunch. It was fun. Then we went finding in town. It was raining, so not much success. Then we went to the church to open the chapel for the Milton Keynes elders. We did our companion study in the meantime. After that we went to have an appointment with Robert, but he wasn't home. So we started having to our dinner appointment. They live on the border of the area, so it was a long drive. Before dinner, we stopped by Peter and sue, a less active and his wife. They were nice. Then we went to dinner. We had dinner with the kassinens. They're a young family with two kids. Their kids are crazy! We had spaghetti for dinner then we ate pancakes for dessert. Apparently, the common topping for pancakes here is lemon juice and sugar. Strange. Then we went to brother kassinen's office, which is in his back yard, to watch some of his mission videos. He was a crazy guy on the mission. After that we shared the reclaimed Mormon message and invited them to share their joy of the atonement with someone in March. After dinner, we went to go visiting teaching with one of the sisters in the relief society. The woman we were teaching is named dawn and get husband is named Alan. Hopefully we'll be able to teach them again soon. Then we went to the chapel for youth and afterwards went home.

Wednesday - Today we had an exchange with the district leader. I was with elder Lindsay, the district leader. The first thing we did was go finding. The first 10 or so people all yelled at us or straight up rejected and insulted us. It was fun. We talked to some good people, though. There was this nice lady from Minnesota. She was fun to talk to . After finding for awhile, we picked up lunch from this lady in the ward. It was delicious. Then we found again for a very long time, probably 2 or 3 hours. We stopped by one of their investigators in that time. He's basically dropped us. So we did more finding until we went to stop by this less active family. Their name is the Bajaj family. They have three daughters. Sister Bajaj is really funny. She definitely enjoys the missionaries. Brother Bajaj is really cool. He likes making music. He's done some pretty cool work already. They're just great. After that, we missed our bus home, so we waited like forty minutes for the next bus, then we missed our connection bus to the flat and went in the wrong direction. So we had to wait for another bus back and a bus to the flat. So we got back super late and ate a super late dinner.

Thursday - Today we had interviews with president and sister Stevens. I love interviews. I love being able to council with president and sister Stevens, though we didn't have an interview with sister Stevens. Sister Stevens gave a training on prayer. It was really nice. Then sister khan gave a training on the importance, benefits, and blessings of coming to church. Then we ate lunch and went finding at the lake. We did tomato finding. It's pretty fun. The we stopped by some less actives. Then we picked up John bullard to go finding. He's great. He had a wonderful testimony of the gospel and he has a great attitude. He's also really good at talking to people. He's the best. Then after that we went to pick up the Bletchley elders and went to dinner at the Jacksons. They're great. Brother Jackson works for Google. They have five kids. They're all awesome. After dinner, we went to the chapel so the other elders could have a lesson. Then when they finished, we all went home.

Friday - Today was awesome. We did companion study and weekly planning in the morning. Then I had some tortellini for lunch, then we picked up the Bletchley elders' sports  clothing for sports night. After that we dropped off the chapel key to the Milton Keynes elders. We then had a lesson with Robert, a less active member. He's pretty cool. Kinda like Richard from dunstable. After Robert, we picked up John bullard and went to have a lesson with Sam. Her son was sick, so we went finding with him instead. He's so cool. I love him so much. Afterwards, we dropped him of and had dinner with the O'brians. They're super cool. I love them. It was like being back home, but with a funny, sarcastic version of dad. I love you dad, by the way. Then we had a lesson with amelia and Graham. Pippa was there. It was such a crazy lesson. Pippa is crazy. She's so funny. The lesson took longer than intended, so we were late to sports night, but it was fine anyways, because everyone was late. So we played chair football. I was slaughtering everyone at the beginning, but then I got killed. It was fun, though. Afterwards we dropped everyone of at home, then I ate the pudding I made after lunch. Yum.

Saturday - Today was great! We went to get our area books synced, and while I was doing so, I got an email from mom saying that I had been accepted into byu provo! Yay! Then we went finding, then we had lunch with the other elders. We went to McDonald's. Then we went to the chapel so the elders could do their progress record. After that we picked up John bullard and went to an appointment. They hosed. So we went finding for a while. Then we spotted by some less active friends. They were really nice. Then we dropped off John and went to the chapel to do our progress record. Then we ate dinner, dropped off a Romanian book of Mormon to the sisters, and brought the other elders home from a dinner appointment.

Sunday - Today was nice. We had an area broadcast from Salt Lake. M. Russell Ballard, Linda S. Reeves, and two people from the quorum of the seventy spoke to us. It was really good. They rebuked the entire area (northern Europe). It was fun. After that, us and the other elders went to their flat and had lunch. Then we stopped by less actives. Then we went to the chapel to take the elders home after a lesson.

Well, there you go. That was my week. I love you all!

Love,
Elder Warburton

P.S. The husband of a member said that I look like this guy named Bill Evans. What do you think?
